The Prez Sez a Big Mac hello to you all:
I have often given the following advice to anyone who will listen. “Don’t get elected Senior Class President of your high school because it carries a lot of responsibility. You are expected to plan all the class reunions, keep track of contact information for all your classmates and then you wake up one day about 50 years later and you have the sad duty to inform the class as we lose members.” Actually I have said that with tongue in cheek because I have enjoyed it and it has been an honor to serve our class in this way. As we approach the twilight years of our lives I can still manage a smile or two just by looking through my yearbooks. I don’t know if you have thought about it but we were blessed to be growing up in 50’s and 60’s. We may have been ornery at times but we had good clean fun, respected our parents and teachers and managed to avoid a lot of the stuff that faces kids today. Many years later when Mr. Stewart was a patient of mine, he said to me that we were without a doubt one of his favorite classes he ever worked with in his career. High praise for a guy who taught a lot of years.
I hope this website will be something that we can all enjoy as we use it to share a piece of our lives with each other. We will welcome pictures and stories about your life. There will be a drop down tab on the navigation bar for our web administrators to place whatever you send us. Want us to see you in your service uniform? Want us to see your kids or grandkids? Got a picture of your wedding anniversary? Whatever you want to share, we will put it on the website for all to see. We can also use the website to keep you posted on future reunions and obituaries. With your permission we might even do a little blurb on you and what you have done with your life. The possibilities are unlimited. I just wish we would have done this many years ago.
For those of you who were at the 50th Reunion and heard the presentation that I did that night and have asked me about it since, there is a kind of condensed version of it on the 50th Reunion page. For those of you reading it for the first time, it was funny that night. You had to be there. Please do not feel left out if you don’t hear your name. My whole idea was to include every person who was present for the reunion that night and I actually accomplished that.
